TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ESCAPE ROOM (PROPRIETARY) LIMITED

RIGHT OF ADMISSION TO THESE PREMISES IS RESERVED.

1 All customers enter these premises at their own risk. 

2 Escape Room (Proprietary) Limited, and/or each and any of its respective members, employees, contractors, sub-contractors, agents, workmen or representatives (hereinafter referred to as “the Company“) do not accept responsibility or liability for any damage, loss, claim, or other expense of whatever kind or nature, whether for death, personal injury, loss, damage to property or otherwise, including but not limited to medical claims and legal expenses, regardless whether such injury, loss or damage results from the negligent or wilful act of the Company or from any other cause whatsoever. 

3 Any person entering these premises hereby indemnifies the Company against any claim arising from injury, loss, or damage as aforementioned and from any cause whatsoever that may be instituted against the Company.

4 All purchases include VAT at 15%. 

5 A 50% deposit or full payment is required to secure your booking. Due to high volumes of enquiries, we are unable to reserve parties without this deposit payment. Where the full payment is not made previously, the balance owing must be paid a week in advance to maintain your booking. 

6 Food and Drinks which has not been purchased on the premises of the Escape Room may not be brought into or consumed on the premises. 

7 Only food/drinks purchased at the Escape Room™ premises may be consumed within the premises. Customers are required to observe all “No Smoking” restrictions and the smoking regulations. 

8 Customers/participants hereby indemnify the Company for any injury or loss resulting from not adhering to the rules of the game or the rules of the Escape Room™.

9 Participants of the game accept and acknowledge that the Company owns the copyright to all games, instructions and written notes which form part of any game and copying same will constitute an infringement of Escape Room’s copyright. 

10 The Company own the Trademark over the name Escape Room. This trademark cannot be used without the written permission of the Company.

11 The Company reserves the right to vary, amend or add to these terms and conditions. The latest terms and conditions can be found on the Escape Room™ website, www.escaperoom.co.za  

 

CANCELLATIONS, TRANSFERS AND REFUNDS

  1. Escape Room requires 7-day notice before the booked date to provide a full refund. Any cancellations occurring with less than 7 days’ notice yet more than 48 hours’ notice will be offered, the same Activity but a different date and time (subject to availability) or a credit note for the value of the booking. With less than 48 hours’ notice all cancellations will not receive a refund or transfer. 
  2. Escape Room shall cancel your booking at any time. If Escape Room decides to cancel your booking it shall use its reasonable endeavours to notify you as soon as possible. In the event of cancellation under this point, You booking will be transferred to another date but no other compensation shall be payable by Escape Room. 
  3. Payments made by debit or credit card will be refunded to the same card.
  4. No refunds will be given for transactions made by gift vouchers. Bookings which were made by gift vouchers, and which are cancelled may be transferred to another date and time. 
  5. Vouchers and/or complimentary tickets cannot be redeemed for cash and must not be on-sold without the Company’s written consent. Vouchers and/or complimentary tickets are non-refundable and are not available for exchange.

Age limit

  1.  We recommend the activity from age 12 years old and up – for groups age 12 – 16 years old, are run with our Gamemaster in the room. A fee will be charged to provide a Gamemaster or an adult over the age of 18 years old can accompany the group.
  2. Any parent and/or guardian of a minor child bringing such child onto the premises will be deemed to have assisted such minor in indemnifying the Company against any damages claim resulting from the causes set out hereinbefore and/or any other cause whatsoever.
